Copper Crush Washers

Copper crush washers are a soft metal washer designed to be fitted with a bolt. When the bolt is tightened the washer deforms under the pressure and fills the shape around the bolt perfectly for a liquid tight seal.

We recommend that you do not re-use these washers. Due to their malleable nature, once the washer has been ‘crushed’, it cannot return to its original shape. This means that if it is used again it is not guaranteed to create a liquid tight seal when compressed.
